Increase in Western Cape’s Air Exports
The phenomenal success of the Western Cape’s air access project has contributed to 13 new direct routes to Cape Town and 18 route expansions. This has had a successful impact on exports in the province.
Growth of 52% has been seen in airfreight exports as a result of the increased belly space in planes and the additional destinations being serviced. This has made the Western Cape a more viable business and investment hub, promoting trade and driving exports.
This information has come the freight-forwarder, Rohlig-Grindrod, relating to increases over the past year.
